Initial Consultation

Let’s chat about your garden and explore what’s possible.

Every garden design journey starts with a relaxed, informal consultation – either in person* or via video call. This is your chance to tell me all about your space, your ideas, and what you’d love to achieve.

Here’s what’s included:

  • A friendly chat to explore your garden goals, style preferences, and practical needs
  • A walk-through of your space – either on-site or virtually
  • Taking measurements (I’ll do this during a home visit, or guide you through it remotely)
  • Reviewing design options and discussing which package might suit you best

Whether you’re dreaming of a full transformation or just want to refresh a corner, this consultation helps us lay the groundwork together.

*On location only available within a 1-hour drive of Bromborough, Merseyside.

Site Visits or Design Meetings

If you’d like a design meeting or site visit, each package covers up to two hours of my time on site or in discussion. Should additional time be required, it can be added as needed. Once you request this service, I’ll send an order form outlining the full details for your approval. Your signed confirmation will be required before any work begins.

Modifications or Alternations to Design or Planting Plans

Your quotation covers the agreed design only and does not include later modifications or alterations. Any additional time spent revising design or planting documents – including the preparation or printing of updated materials – can be arranged as an add‑on. Once requested, I’ll provide an order form with the full breakdown for your approval. Your signed confirmation will be required before any work begins.

Project Management Package

If you’d like me to work alongside your landscapers during the build, I can create a tailored Project Management Package once the design is complete. This will include a set number of site visits and dedicated time for liaising with your landscaping team throughout the project. After requesting this service, you’ll receive an order form detailing the full package for your approval. Your signed confirmation will be required before any work begins.

Terms and Conditions
  • The quotation covers the initial design documentation included within your chosen package. No design work will begin until you have signed and returned the Order Form confirming your instruction.
  • An initial invoice will be issued upon receipt of the signed Order Form. Full payment is required before the first set of plans is released. You will be contacted once your plans are ready, and they will be issued upon receipt of payment.
  • If any additional work or costs arise during the process, you will receive a quotation and a new order form to sign before any further work is undertaken. This ensures all costs remain transparent and agreed in advance.
  • The quoted price applies to design work and planting information only. Pip Probert Garden Designer does not undertake construction or landscaping work.
  • All drawings remain the property of Pip Probert until full payment has been received. Designs are securely stored in an online databank and protected with a dated ACID copyright stamp.
  • If you require three‑dimensional technical drawings (such as isometric, axonometric, or artist’s impressions), additional pricing and information can be provided on request.
  • The design process is tailored to each client, and timescales may vary depending on individual requirements. We work closely with you to develop a design that meets your expectations. If you choose to discontinue the process after receiving the initial concept plans, the design fee is non‑refundable, as it covers the time and work already invested.
  • While every effort is made to design within your stated budget, we also aim to incorporate all requested features. In some cases, the final design may exceed the initial budget due to material choices or additional elements identified during the design process.
