Since my early days in garden design, I’ve been captivated by the artistry and precision involved in creating Show Gardens. My first introduction to this world came in 2005 with my debut RHS Show Garden at the Tatton Park Flower Show. That experience opened my eyes to the dynamic and creative challenges of competitive garden design. I discovered my true passion for transforming ideas into stunning garden spaces that are both innovative and immersive, and I have never looked back.
Over nearly two decades, I’ve designed and created more than 42 Show Garden exhibits for prestigious events like the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Tatton Park, RHS Malvern, Gardening Scotland, and the Ascot Garden Show. These projects have showcased meticulous design, construction, and planting, earning accolades and medals along the way. My journey has also extended beyond the UK. Internationally, I’ve had the privilege of working on significant projects, such as the Besiktas Garden Festival in Istanbul, where I collaborated with local teams to bring my designs to life, adapting to different styles and construction methods. Additionally, I was part of the Beijing Horticultural Expo in China, which provided invaluable experience working on a global stage and offered insight into diverse horticultural traditions and practices.
For me, Show Gardens are far more than visual displays; they’re a chance to evoke emotion, spark imagination, and demonstrate the transformative power of planting and thoughtful design. Sharing this passion – whether through design, teaching, or mentorship – has been the heart of my journey, and each garden created reflects my unwavering dedication to the craft. From local showcases to international stages, every project has deepened my love for garden design and reinforced the magic of turning outdoor spaces into works of art.
